Face Rock Creamery Earns Five Medals at 2022 American Cheese Society Competition
The 2022 ACS awards Face Rock Creamery was honored to receive are:
- 1st: Face 2 Face Mixed Milk Cheddar, Sweet Cheddar – all milks, all ages
- 1st: Peppercorn Harvest Clothbound Cheddar, Cheddar with Flavor Added – all milks
- 2nd: Face 2 Face Clothbound Cheddar, Cheddar wrapped in cloth, linen with a natural rind – aged 13 or more months – all milks
- 2nd: In Your Face Spicy 3 Pepper Cheddar, Cheddar with Hot Flavor Added – all milks
- 3rd: Clothbound Cheddar, Cheddar wrapped in cloth, linen with a natural rind – aged 13 or more months – all milks
Face Rock Creamery Earns Six Medals at International Dairy Competition
Face Rock Creamery brought home six medals from the 2022 Los Angeles International Dairy Competition. The medals Face Rock Creamery received are:
- Gold – Aged Cheddar: Cheddar, Sharp (6 months to 1 year) Category
- Gold – Cheese Curds, Cheddar: Curd Cheese Category
- Gold – Cheese Curds, Vampire Slayer: Curd Cheese Category
- Silver – Face 2 Face Clothbound: Bandaged Cheddar, Aged Category
- Silver – Face 2 Face Cheddar: Hard Mixed Milk Cheeses Category
- Silver – Vampire Slayer Cheddar: Flavored Hard Cheeses Category
Face Rock Creamery Brings Home a 2019 Good Food Award
Face Rock Creamery was honored with a 2019 Good Food Award for its Clothbound Cheddar. The award, presented at the January 11 Good Food Foundation gala celebration, reflects Face Rock’s dedication to creating hand-crafted cheese using responsible production practices.
2019 Three Cheers for Three Medals!
Face Rock was awarded three awards at the 36th annual American Cheese Society Awards. 1st place – Peppercorn Harvest Clothbound Cheddar, Flavored Cheddar Category. 2nd place – Aged Cheddar, Aged through 12 months Category. 3rd place – In Your Face Spicy 3 Pepper Cheddar, Flavored Cheddar Category.
2018 In Our Fifth Year in Business Face Rock takes Five Awards at American Cheese Society
Face Rock was awarded 5 awards at the 35th annual American Cheese Society Awards. 1st Place winner was Clothbound Cheddar. 2nd Place Winners were the Classic White Cheddar Curds & our Smokey Cheddar. 3rd place winners were the Spicy In Your Face Curds and the Apricot Fromage Blanc.
2017 Face Rock Creamery takes 2nd & 3rd at American Cheese Society
Out of 2,024 cheeses entered into what we like to call the “Oscars for Cheese,” our Peppercorn Harvest Reserve Clothbound cheddar earned high honors with a 2nd place ribbon in the Cheddar with Flavor Added category, and our Apricot Honey Fromage Blanc won 3rd in the Fresh Unripened Cheese with Flavor Added.
2016 Face Rock Creamery named 2017 Good Food Award Finalist
Out of 2,059 total entrants Face Rock Creamery was named one of 291 finalists for the 2017 Good Food Awards. The Bandon-based creamery was one of the highest scorers for their two-year Extra Aged Cheddar.
2015 Face Rock Wins Three Golds at Los Angeles International Dairy Competition
Face Rock Creamery took home 3 first place ribbons at the annual Los Angeles International Dairy Competition. Winners were the Premium 2yr Extra Aged Cheddar, in the “Cheddar, Aged (1-2 years)” category, In Your Face, Spicy 3-Pepper Cheddar, in the “Pepper Flavored Cheeses” category, & the Applewood Smoked Cheddar in the “Smoked Cheeses” category.
2015 Face Rock Premium Extra Aged Cheddar Takes 1st Place, ACS
Face Rock Creamery took home the 1st place award for it’s Premium Extra Aged Cheddar in the “Aged Cheddar (12-24 mo) catagory. We can now proudly say that it is the #1 Aged Cheddar in America! (View the Official Press Release)
2015 Face Rock Garlic Olive Fromage Blanc Takes 3rd Place, ACS
At the 2015 ACS Competition in Providence, Rhode Island Face Rock Creamery took home the 3rd place ribbon for their Garlic Olive Fromage in the “Fresh, Unripened with Flavor Added ” category. (View the Official Press Release)

2014 Face Rock In Your Face Spicy 3-Pepper Curds Take 1st Place, ACS
Face Rock Creamery was awarded 1st place in the Fresh Curd Category at the 2014 American Cheese Society awards! We are happy to say that Face Rock has now had the Best Flavored Cheese Curds in North America for two years running!
2013 Face Rock Vampire Slayer Garlic Curds Take 1st Place, ACS
