Mr. and Mrs. C -
We were saddened when visiting Bandon and found there was no longer all your wonderful selections of cheeses. When we found out once again we'll have that opportunity back to make our selections, we were extremely pleased. To us, that was always "part" of Bandon and it didn't feel the same when visiting. We've been excited when we heard the good News........

I was so mad when [***] bought the Bandon Cheese factory and then moved all of the production to [another city but] still continued to use the Bandon name. My first memories of the cheese factory was as a kid in the 50s so I am really looking forward to giving our grandchildren their own memories of the new Bandon cheese factory.

While growing up in Bandon there were many trips to the cheese factory for cheese and yummy ice cream!! The cheese factory was the only place that had black licorice ice cream!! There have been many times since we left 7 years ago that we have come home and truly wished we could go to the cheese factory!! It will be so great to come home on leave and be able to bring our kids to an outstanding cheese factory!!!! Thank you for bringing it back!!!! Sincerely, Gina Waggoner Alcock

We both remember going to the Bandon Cheese Factory as kids, "Oh please, can we stop and get some cheese, cheese curds, and if we're really good can we have come ice cream?" Oh boy was it yummy! We miss those days and now my wife wants to work there if she can. :)

I am so glad to hear that the cheese factory is back. The south coast used to have a lot of Jersey dairy herds for their rich milk used for Bandon cheese. Lets bring back 'the girls' too! Dairying and cheese making is good for agricultural, sustainable jobs and also tourism

Mia M. Halter -
Growing up on a local cranberry farm on the edge of Bandon in the 60's-80's our family treasured Bandon Cheese, it was the only brand we bought all those decades (long before I was born my grandparents did as well). We were all upset with how ruthless the new "owners" where with our beloved cheese factory and the resulting closing. My family which still resides in the area sent me an article describing the good works the city of Bandon have done to bring back cheese to our favorite place in Oregon. I'll be returning home to Bandon from New York this May/June with friends and family for a vacation and we look forward to Bandon's new creamery. Well done Bandon! I'm really proud of the folks that worked hard to bring this about.

Can't wait for the opening and to try the cheese. Glad to see that Bandon Cheese is coming back to town. I miss being able to buy the old cheese. It was sad that the old company sold and the new owners moved it up the coast.

Bandon's Full Cream Extra Sharp Cheddar was the best Cheddar Chees in America. I hope it will eventually be among your offereings (of course it will take at least 9 months to age!) Living over 3000 miles away, I hope we can buy through mail-order ? Pleasse, please , please! Thanks for bringing back a classic at Face Rock and the Coquille Valley!! The TEST will be in the TASTE. John Marikos -
This is such great news! The Bandon Cheese Factory (purchased and shutdown by Tillamook, who never approached the same quality) made amazing sharp cheddar cheese and other cheeses that were really tasty. Hopefully, Face Rock Creamery can give us this same high quality of cheeses we've been missing. Congratulations!

This Oregonian living in Chicago is thrilled to bits to hear about your first batches of cheese. Our mother would take us to the beach and on the way home to Coquille tell us to "look for the green flag." If it was out, then all sandy and sunburned we would fall out the car for a bag of cheese curds to eat on the way home through our lovely green valleys. We will be ordering cheese online as soon as we can.

Bandon was my very favorite vacation spot. I liked it so much, I took my wife there on our honeymoon a couple of years ago. That's when I found out the cheese factory was gone... It was sad. That was one of the highlights of the trip, with all the flavored waters and the robot that ate money and of course, cheese. We'll be back for our anniversary in June and I'm glad to see it will be back!

We have been coming to Bandon every November for 22+ years and were really disappointed when the cheese factory was gone. We are VERY excited about coming back this year as we had learned during last year's visit that there was a cheese factory 'coming back'. The ambiance of the building is totally awesome!!! We will be there in November.

This will be our 24th annual visit to Bandon and have greatly missed the cheese factory. It was a huge shame to see it go and I know it had a huge negative impacted Bandon's economy. We are so excited to see your ecomomy get a boost and to see you back!!! Will see you later this month.

What a let down after waiting all these months for the cheese factory to return. Where's the cheese? The new factory is not half of what the old factory was. Lots of luck. You'll need it.

Mike & Jenny Bergstrand -
Just visited Bandon to the new cheese factory, Face Rock Creamery for Mother's Day at Bandon. I remembered visiting Bandon and stopping at the cheese factory for cheese and the curds. Then I met Joe at the Rotory Wine & Cheese Extravaganza and heard the Tillaukuk story and never bought Tillamook cheese since. Please people be patient with Face Rock. I went back 3 times this weekend just to complete my order for the curds. They are just phasing up for full production. They just opened for the summer season but they could have opened in the dead of winter and I would be first in line. I saw Greg at the cash register and Joe scooping Umpqua ice cream cones, what a team, what a family. This is what Bandon is all about. Nothing but good for the people and the local dairies of Bandon. Welcome back. Spreading the word in Roseburg and can hardly wait to see Face Rock Creamy cheese on the grocery store selves. Thanks you soooo much for renewing my must stop when I visit Bandon.

James Morse -
Disappointed. Where are all the great cheeses there used to be. Baja Cheddar, Onion Cheddar, Bacon cheddar, Cranberry Cheddar. None there. Spent 2 minutes tried the 3 samples there were and left. There used to be like 20-25 samples. So much selection in old factory.Tiny selection smaller than my fridge. Needs a lot of work to make it reach "Good Status"... Only good thing is the nice new building.
