Great Cheese Makes Great Pizza

February 9 is National Pizza Day! We love pizza in all forms, but an easy peasy pizza is always a great pizza.

We had fun using a rectangle pizza shell from Trader Joe’s to create pizza bites that would be great for game day snacks, after school pick me up, or a quick dinner.

We used our creamy fresh Olive Garlic Fromage Blanc as the base layer, added pepperoni in a grid, and topped each with a small pile of shredded Monterey Jack.

Pop it onto a pizza stone (or in our case, the back of a rimmed stoneware sheetpan) that has preheated in a 450° oven and we had a perfect, crunchy, melty, cheesy pizza in 9 minutes. We let it sit for a few minutes and cut it into a grid using the pepperoni as a guide.

This round didn’t even make it to a serving tray so we’d say it's a hit! You can find ready-to-bake pizza shells in all kinds of formats, and any of our cheese flavors would be great on this so have fun experimenting.
